ALWAYS FEELS LIKE SPRING
WASHINGTON SQUARE NEIGHBORHOOD. NYC
INTERIOR DESIGN
Sometimes a picture sets the tone. A contemporary framed image of an iconic building allowed for the unexpected tones of Spring all year round. A magnificent stained-glass dome in the old Public Library in downtown Chicago, now used at the Chicago Cultural Center anchors the room and sets the mood.
Sherbert color iridescent taffeta fabric is made into throw pillows with ever changing hues throughout the day. Classic furniture has been updated with woven wool garment fabrics and grass cloth covered walls makes the room cozy and inviting. Hemp woven area rugs sitting on top of aged parquet floors introduces a few more natural materials to the environment. Black and white vintage city scape photography displays the inhabitant's passion for architecture.
