Moving into the city from the country meant the chintz fabrics and heavy wools needed to be forgotten.  

With a nice collection of art in hand, we started to design.  Our client was persuaded to go more classic modern without the interior becoming a cathedral to the minimalist but more in respect to comfort.  Custom upholstery sofas and loungers are balanced by comfortable Platner Easy Chair and Stool, vintage Karl Springer coffee table and 40s nesting side tables.  Custom bronze tube art light fixture enhanced a large canvas in the living room.  Custom heating and AC units were design to look more mid century consoles and blend into the walls.

The entire den was wallpapered in actual tree bark cut into panels as a reminder to the country life, silk carpet, bronze side tables and more Platner furniture.
